Description
Who it is for and how it works
OnkoRadar Basic is a cancer prevention test package that combines:
- a genetic test using the PCR method (genes: BRCA1, CHEK2, NBN, PALB2),
- an analysis of 3 key elements: selenium, arsenic, zinc.
The blood is drawn at a partner medical facility.
Who is it for?
The package is intended for:
- healthy people of Slavic genetic origin,
- with no personal history of cancer,
- with no family history of cancer (close family: grandparents, parents and their siblings, your siblings, your children and grandchildren).
Scope and benefits
OnkoRadar Basic offers a comprehensive view of cancer risk, taking into account:
- genetic predisposition (the most common mutations in selected genes),
- environmental and dietary factors (assessment of element biomarkers).
This makes it possible to identify areas that need prevention and to point out potential risk factors early.
Next steps
If a high cancer risk is found:
- a teleconsultation with a cancer geneticist may be advised, available at public oncology and gynaecology clinics or as part of Wellysa's additional services,
- you may be advised to extend the genetic testing with a broader NGS panel (e.g. in the OnkoRadar Max Risk package).
You can buy the product with a single payment or in 3 monthly instalments with .
Preparing for the test
The genetic test does not require any special preparation.
The trace elements test requires an elimination diet for the 3 days before the test: do not eat fish, seafood, rice or rice products. Also avoid fish oils and omega-3 supplements (cod liver oil and similar), and stop any other dietary supplements containing zinc, selenium or arsenic.
On the day of the test, arrive fasting and stay well hydrated (drink only water; avoid coffee and tea).
