About the doctor
Professor Cezary Cybulski, MD, PhD, DSc, is an expert in clinical cancer genetics. He has worked at Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin in the Department of Genetics and Pathomorphology since 2001.
He co-discovered new breast cancer genes RECQL and ATRIP, and NBN as a high-risk prostate cancer gene. He described the spectrum of mutations in breast and prostate cancer predisposition genes in Poland using whole-exome sequencing.
He developed diagnostic tests for rapid, sensitive detection of mutations in VHL, NBN, PALB2 and CHEK2 associated with cancer susceptibility in Poland.
